ABS Challenge 13

Happy Monday!  Hope y'all enjoyed a great weekend!

We had a busy one, with swimming lessons, visits with friends, and some errands.  I've also been busy working on 2 sets of wedding invitations, so my card mojo was distracted for a few days.  I have them all nearly finished, so I decided to take a break from the monotony of hundreds of invitations to play in the Anita Be Stampin' Challenge!

I just recently got my hands on the new MME Stella & Rose collections, and HAD to use one for this card!  This adorable bear is from the set Love Bear.   I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black, then coloured him in with my copics.  I paper pieced the heart with some of the MME Stella & Rose Gertie paper, that I also used throughout the card.  The heart also has a couple coats of Clear Glaze to make it shine!  The circles were punched using my SU circle punches, and I used my MFT Jumbo Scallop Die-namic for the scallops.  The outside was finished off with some machine stitching!

Since I used my card making staple, Kraft paper, it will also be a fine submission for Jeannie's That's Krafty Thursday #49

On the inside I stamped the bear again, added some more of the Gertie paper, and some ribbon.  It was also finished off with some machine stitching.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Love Bear (Anita Be Stampin')
Paper - Kraft, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, My Minds Eye Stell & Rose Gertie
Other - Circle Punches (SU), Ribbon (SU), Sewing Machine, Copics

Enjoy Today

Good Morning!

I hope some of you are getting some nice spring weather.  We are sitting at a balmy -13C this morning, and are still under a blanket of snow.  Those groundhogs deserve a beating!  I guess all I can hope for is maybe it will start to act like spring next week.

The good thing about it being Friday, is that it is New Release Friday at Stamp Fairy!  Today Gerda has released another adorable set of images!

Meet Lilly!  This little cutie can be found playing just about everywhere!  I started by printing Lilly out onto SU Whisper White CS and colouring her in with my copics.  I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #183 for the layout, which works perfectly with Miss Lilly!

The sentiment is from Amazing Wishes, by Verve.  I also used my MFT Little Open Scallop Die-namic (LOVE this!).

Thanks for stopping by today!  Make sure you head over to the Stamp Fairy Blog to check out all the DT creations!

Have a great day!

BLD Challenge 9

Good Morning!

Today I have a card that I made for the BLD Challenge #9.  I just love these amazing colour challenges Lori gives us each week.  Being full of greens, I thought this would be perfect for a baby boy card to give to my SIL who had a little boy on St. Patty's Day.

I used one of Lori's newly released Lollipops, Baby Carter.  I printed him out onto some SU Very Vanilla CS and coloured him in with my copics.   The sentiment is from Verve's To the Moon set, which I stamped multiple times in Garden Green and Memento Tuxedo Black.  I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #109 for my layout and papers from my Cosmo Cricket Mitten weather pack.
That is it for today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stamps - Baby Carter (By Lori Designs), To The Moon (Verve Stamps)

Have a Beary Christmas

Hope you all had a great weekend.  Mine was a long one, full of friends, family and celebrations.  I will likely need a few days to recover!

I was able to play with the TCP Tuesday #150 challenge last week, which was an awesome sketch.

I got this adorable set, Big Bear, as soon as it was released, but never had the chance to get it inky! I guess that would make this perfect for Jessie's Forgotten Stamp Friday #15.  I do love having this challenge.  It gets all these great stamps sets some ink!

I stamped Big Bear onto SU Very Vanilla CS and coloured him with my copics.  I paper pieced his feet and ears with some of the DP, Mitten Weather by Cosmo Cricket.  I also used plenty of my favourite Kraft cs, and added some gorgeous purple satin ribbon to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great Monday!

Also, be sure to check out the Stamp Fairy Blog!  Gerda has released an adorable new set!

Supplies – Stamps: Big Bear (The Cat's Pajamas); Paper: Very Vanilla, Kraft, Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather; Other: Copics, Satin RIbbon (Michaels)

An'Udder Birthday?

It's Friday!

Today's new release from Stamp Fairy just might be my most favourite!

This cow is ADORABLE!  Being a dairy farmer, you might see why this is my fave!  I decided to go with a monochromatic look for this card.

I printed the image out onto SU Whisper White CS and colored it in with my copics.  I then cut it out with my nestabilties.  I used my MFT Jumbo Scallop Die-namic to create the scallops.  The sentiment is from an old TAC set I have had for years.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check out the Stamp Fairy Blog to see all the new goodies!

Snips & Snails

and puppy dog tails!

Happy Thursday!  Actually....Happy St. Patty's Day!  Today is looking to be a gorgeous day...it will be so nice to have this sunshine!

Today is also my dad's 60th birthday, and the day I will meet my new niece or nephew!

In honour of babies, I have created these cards:

I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #182 for each of these cards, creating on for a boy (above!), and one for a girl (below!).  These adorable sentiments are from the Verve set To The Moon.

On each of these cards, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto SU Very Vanilla CS.  After cutting them out with my circle nestabilities, I left the die on and traced around the edges with my sharpie.  I added some Bella Crackle Dots, and finished the cards off with some ribbon.

Have a great day!  See you tomorrow for another new release from Stamp Fairy!

Card 1 Supplies – Stamps: To The Moon (Verve); Paper: Not Quite Navy, Tangerine Tango, Kraft, Very Vanilla, MME Alphabet Soup Boy; Other: Staples, Ribbon, Bella Dots, Nestabilities

Nothing Better than a Challenge!

Good afternoon!  It is so nice to finally have some "spring" weather.  The snow is melting (for like the fifth time!), and the sun is shining!

Today I have a card for two challenges!

This is the MFT WSC Sketch #10, and for Joanne's Fourth Blogaversary Challenge! The layout, obviously, is from the MFT WSC sketch, but the other details are part of Joanne's challenge.  She gave us a list of things to incorporate into our cards: using the colours pink, orange and ivory; different stitching; and kraft!

I started by stamping little Miss PI Being Cute is What I Do onto SU Very Vanilla CS and colouring her with my copics.  I paper-pieced her shirt with the DP from Crate Paper.  I used my MFT Layered Label Die-namic for the sentiment.

That's it for me today!  I am off to get some more stamping done!

Supplies – Stamps - Being Cute Is What I Do (My Fovorite Things); Paper - Very Vanilla, Kraft, Crate Paper Pink Plum; Other - Ribbon (SU!), MFT Layered Label Die-namic, Sewing Machine

Things Are Gonna Get Better!

or at least I hope so.....I have been having some trouble with migraines and a HUGE knot in my shoulder the past week.  It seems to be manageable for now with a steady diet of Tylenol and Advil, but I am hoping today I can get in to see a massage therapist....they can fix it!

I have still been able to make cards though!  Just a little slower!

I made this for the Viva La Verve March Week 2 sketch.  This sketch had me thinking...for a while.  I sat at my desk going through all my Verve sets, just waiting for something to come to me!  It finally did, and I am pretty happy with the results.

To start, I used one of my Key Ingredient Kits from Taylored Expressions.  This one is from Septemeber 2010.  The paper in the kit is Crate Paper Restoration.

My stamp set that I used is Blue Skies, one of the first sets I bought from Verve, and one of the ones that got me hooked!  I stamped the large butterfly once onto Choice Buttercream CS, and the small butterfly twice.  I coloured them with my copics, then gave them a coat of Smooch Illuminate for some shine.

Next, I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black, then cut it out using my rectangle nestabilities.  I did some distressing on the edges, added some sewing, and finally, two pink brads.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin' on Sunday

Good afternoon!

I hadn't planned on posting today, but I ended up with some spare moments (to myself!), and was able to finish this card.

This is my first card created using my new Anita Be Stampin' stamps!  These are the cutest stamps!  If you haven't checked them out, I suggest you head over there....after you finish reading!

The challenge over at the Anita Be Stampin Challenge Blog was a sketch!  I didn't get all the elements from the sketch in here....I just ran out of room!  (hope that's ok!)

This sweet bear is from the Bears & Bunches set.  I stamped him onto SU Very Vanilla CS and coloured him with my copics.  I used the Cosmo Cricket Early Bird line for my DP and colour inspiration.  The sentiment was stamped onto the main panel, and I added some copper brads.

I used lots of my favourite Kraft (or Crumb Cake!) paper, which just works perfectly for Jeannie's That's Krafty Thursday #48 challenge!

I finished the card off with some distressing, and there you have it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Bears & Bunches (Anita Be Stampin')

BLD Challenge 8

Good Morning!

Hope you are all having a great start to your weekend!

I got a chance yesterday to finish my card for the BLD Challenge #8.

This is Cole, one of the newest additions to Lori's Puddle Jumper family.  I absolutely LOVE these Puddle Jumpers....and I think I own ALL of them! I really like this colour combo, and as soon as I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for my Basic Grey Marjolaine paper!

I used the March SFYTT as my layout.  I then printed Cole out onto SU Very Vanilla cardstock and coloured him in with my copics.  Using my rectangle nestabilities, I cut him out, then pierced around the edges.

The sentiment was stamped onto some Very Vanilla cardstock, then I added some piercing, and a Basic Grey Glazed Brad to finish it off.  I distressed some of the panels, then added some copper brads.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies
Stamps - Puddle Jumper Cole (By Lori Designs), sentiment (The Cat's Pajama's)
Paper - Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla, Basic Grey Marjolaine

And...there's another Snow Storm

So, it's happened again.....rain the past two days....most of the snow gone...wake up this morning to 12" of snow on the ground.....oh how I wish Mother Nature could just stick to one season!  This does, however, pale in comparison to the earthquakes and tsunamis that are striking Japan and the surrounding area.

On now to much brighter news!  Today is Friday, which is Stamp Fairy Release Day!

Today, Gerda has released an adorable line of Easter images, featuring Clementine.  I started by printing out Clementine on SU Whisper White cardstock, then colouring her in with my copics.  I used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch #92 for the layout.

The papers are from Basic Grey Eva, and I used my MFT Perfect Petal Trio Die-namic and MFT Button Quartet Die-namics for the embellishments.

That's it for today!  Be sure to check out the Stamp Fairy Blog to see all the new GOODIES!

Enjoy!

Birthday Wishes

This week at the Stamp Fairy Challenge Blog, Gerda has created an awesome sketch to play with.  Since sketch challenges are my most favourite, I had to play along!

This is St. Patrick's Day Herb, and I thought I would show you how versatile he can be!  I printed him out onto SU Whisper White cardstock, and coloured him in with my copics.  I chose some paper from Basic Grey Lime Rickey for this card.

A little machine stitching, ribbon and some Bella Glitter Dots, and that's it!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a great Thursday!

Lollipops and an SFYTT!

Today's weather, for those of you in SW Ontario, is disgusting.  It is mild, damp, windy, cold and raining/snowing.  I love winter, but this has got to stop.  It's mild and sunny one day, then freezing and snowing the next!

On to something a little nicer.....some Lollipops!

I combined the BLDC #7 Challenge with the March SFYTT.  For my image I paired Landon and Sophie together using Photoshop.  I printed them onto Choice Snow White cardstock, then coloured them in with my copics.  I used paper from my stash....SU! Raspberry Tart, and added some brads for detail.

That's it...pretty short and sweet today!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Sophie & Landon Lollipop (BLD)
Paper - Kraft, Choice Snow White, SU Raspberry Tart

Party Time Tuesday!

This is post #2 for today!  Scroll down a bit for my Viva la Verve post.

I was lucky enough to be asked to be a Guest Designer for the Party Time Tuesday Challenge this week.  Their challenge was How Lucky!

I started out by using the February sketch from Jen del Muro's SFYTT.  I love this sketch.....A LOT!  It seems to be my go to layout lately.  I printed out St. Patty's Day Herb onto some SU Whisper White cardstock, then coloured him in with my copics.  I cut him out and layered him on a black circle. All the DP is Basic Grey Lime Rickey.  The sentiment is from SU's So Happy For You.  A little machine sewing, and that's it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - St Patty's Day Herb (Stamp Fariy), So Happy For You (SU!)
Paper - Whisper White, Basic Black, Basic Grey Lime Rickey
Other - Sewing Machine, Copics, Nestabilties, Scallop Border Punch (SU), Modern Label Punch (SU)

May All Your Dreams Come True

I have a card today, as promised, with no Kraft!

This is the card I created for Week #1 for March's Viva La Verve sketch challenges.  I just LOVE these sketches the Divas create.  It also makes sure all those fantastic Verve Stamps get inky, and don't get left alone!

I used the set Always On My Mind.  This set is so versatile, and so sweet and simple!  I stamped the sentiment and the hanging start with Memento Tuxedo Black, and coloured the star in with my copics.  I used paper from My Minds Eye True Blue.  For embellishments I used some Copper Brads, and the MFT Stacking Stars Die-namic.

Thanks for stopping by!

With More Snow...

comes more Christmas cards!  I can't beleive this weather....one day it is spring, the next winter again.  It is cold today, but supposed to warm up to 9 C by the middle of the week!

The snow was inspiring however, for some more Christmas cards!  At the rate I am working, I should have all the christmas cards I'll need by the summer!

I absolutely adore this snowman!  He is created by Heather Ellis, and can be found on her Esty store!  I found this Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses left in my stash, and thought it would be perfect for this card.  I printed Mr Snowman out onto SU Whisper White cardstock, and coloured him in with my copics.

The layout for this card is from Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch #106.  I also embossed the white panel and used embellishments on the card, which was the challenge this week over at the ABC Christmas Challenge Blog.  And, I used my favourite in the whole world Kraft cardstock, so this will work for Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursday Challenge #48.  I know it's the third card in a row...but I love Kraft!  I promise, tomorrow's card will have NO KRAFT on it!

To finish off the card, I added some clear glaze to the heart for some shine, and used my nestabilities Snowflake, and my MFT Die-namics to add some embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Mr Snowman (Heather Ellis), Happy Holidays (Stampin' Up!)
Paper - Whisper White, Kraft, Riding Hood Red, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Clear Glaze, MFT Hearts a Plenty Die-namic, MFT Button Quartet Die-namic, Cuttlebug Swirls Embossing Folder

Tiny Little Thing...

Good Morning!  Did anyone else wake up to white again?  We lost most of our snow with loads of rain yesterday, then we get a few inches of snow!  It would be great if we could just get one thing....maybe bring on that early spring those ground hogs forecasted??

Weather aside, I went to a baby shower yesterday for a girlfriend who will be welcoming her first next month.  This is the card I gave her:

I used the set Hangin' Out, from Taylored Expressions, a set I haven't used in AGES!  It's a good thing Jessie has her Forgotten Stamp Friday challenges.  It gives just the incentive to find those neglected stamps!

I used the February SFYTT from Jen del Muro.  This is an awesome sketch, and I have been using it a lot this last month.....and I'll likely keep on using it!

I started by stamping the onesie onto the October Afternoon Cherry Hill DP and cutting it out.  Then, I cut out a circle with my nestabilities, sponged the edges with Tim Holz Antique Linen Distress Ink, traced the outline and then added 3 brads.  I used LOTS of Kraft cardstock, as per Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursday #48 challenge, and finished the card off with lots of stitching and some Riding Hood Red striped ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Supplies
Stamps - Hangin' Out (Taylored Expressions)
Paper - Kraft, Very Vanilla, October Afternoon Cherry Hill
Other - Nestabilities, Ribbon (SU!), MFT Open Scallop Border Die-Namic, Sewing Machine, Brads

Stamp Fairy Release Day!

Well, it's Friday....and release day!

This week, Gerda has created an adorable little Tooth Fairy called Patsy

After seeing the beautiful creations the Stamp Fairy DT had done, I was totally stuck on where to go with this image.  But, what I ended up with was actually so much better than I had planned!
I printed Patsy out onto Choice Snow White cardstock, and coloured her in with my copics.  I added some Smooch Illuminate to her wings to give them a little sparkle!  For the layout I used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch #91.  I really love this sketch and how versatile it is!  The circle was stamped with the Taylored Expressions Cloudy Background, then cut out with nestabilities.  I used my Martha Stewart Grass Border Punch to create the grass.  The papers are from Basic Grey's Olivia line.  Oh - almost forgot!  Since I used my FAVOURITE kraft cardstock, this also works for Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursday #48!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

Supplies
Stamps - Patsy the Tooth Fairy (Stamp Fairy), Cloudy Days Background (Taylored Expressions)
Paper - Melon Mambo, Choice Snow White, Kraft, Basic Grey Olivia
Other - Martha Stewart Grass Border Punch, Nestabilities, Copics, Sewing Machine
